There are plenty of good browsers available. I use Apache OpenOffice for anything like that I need, plus it’s free. I have never missed anything Microsoft since. I got really ticked off several years ago and I did a search for everything I could find on my computer that had Microsoft associated with it and trashed them all. This might give you a way to start thinking about this. I've been a Mac fan for years, and don't see myself ever changing, but make no mistake, both Apple and Microsoft want to rule the world, and that means ruling you. I will caution you that Apple, in its own way, can be just as annoying and intrusive as Microsoft. Which I am not, so don't ask me how to do that or which open source system is better. But if you do that, you'll have to get a lot more computer-savvy. If you don't want to buy a new computer, then the only way to "get rid of Microsoft on my computer" is to move to open source operating systems, like Red Hat.
